The Hideout is the realization of a family dream. As parents, we know how important it is to have a safe, welcoming space where kids can play freely and caregivers can connect. Our journey began when Ashley served as Center Director at The Well Community Church. When the church approached our family about taking over The Well Community Center, we saw an opportunity to create something even more playful, updated, and family-focused—and that’s how The Hideout came to life.
Our mission is simple: affordable, accessible play for every child. We designed The Hideout with the same values we cherish in our own home—connection, joy, and community.
Since 2019, our family has been raising our two daughters right here in Hendricks County. Experiencing the everyday joys and challenges of parenting in this community has given us a firsthand understanding of what families need: safe spaces to gather, opportunities to learn and play, and a supportive community to lean on. The Hideout isn’t just a place to play—it’s a place for families to feel welcomed, connected, and inspired.
